Importance of Recycling

Summary

Recycling or making new things from recycled ones takes a lot less money, much less energy, and saves a lot of the Earth’s natural resources, thereby helping the environment. Recycling also saves space in landfills. Instead of your garbage being thrown away and taking up space and possibly damaging the environment it’s better to recycle it. The energy saved by recycling also results in less pollution and we all know how bad pollution is to our environment. When you make new products from old but still useful materials think about the natural resources that are saved because of the material from old products that would otherwise have been thrown away.

Recycling plays a vital role in our life nowadays. Recycling: means taking materials from old discarded materials and making other new products from them. Recycling or making new things from recycled ones takes less money, much less energy, and saves a lot of the Earth’s natural resources, thereby helping the environment. Recycling also saves space in landfills. Instead of your garbage being thrown away and taking up space and possibly damaging the environment it’s better to recycle it. Lets alone, it helps keep the environment clean and healthy.

Recognizing the importance of recycling, the elementary students at Riyadh Najed Schools (Boys Section) hand in hand with the American Diploma students prepared a project about the materials that can be recycled and the benefits of recycling. The project showed that recycling is our best means to counter the damage we have been doing to the earth for centuries. Students were very interested in the benefits of recycling and the role it plays to improve our environmental condition.

Students have fun making their own watering can to use in the garden by recycling a plastic jug. This is clear in the following picture that shows on of Riyadh Najed students watering a tree using a recycled plastic jug.

Recycling is the need of the hour.Students of classes I-II of Mira Model School took up the topic of recycling with an aim to be sensitive towards reducing, reusing and trying to re-cycle waste things in the immediate surroundings.Thereby an aim to develop the need to be a responsible human being could be achieved.
