RPVV, TYAGRAJ NAGAR AT A GLANCE

2010-11

Affiliated to the CBSE, RPVV, Tyagraj believes that a sound & basic education is the very essence of a child’s personality. Hence emphasis is made on natural learning methods without any fear or fear based motivation thereby creating a free atmosphere for the children to observe, explore, analyse, discover and assimilate knowledge on their own.

At RPVV the curriculum not only covers the prescribed syllabus but is a judicious mix of sports, co-curricular activities, and creative arts, to groom the overall personality of the children.

Our school is successfully implementing the scheme of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) to assess the learner in both the scholastic and co-scholastics areas.

Today, children in India are growing in a more challenging and demanding environment. The rate of change in every sphere is rapid. With the enhanced knowledge exchange and technology development, the world is going flatter.

Globalization demands a new dimension to our approach to education. We, thus have to recognize the need for a globally relevant education. Such an education would mean imparting skills that would develop mental agility in individuals to confidently interact and work in diverse environs or situations. The school curriculum is oriented such that students embody self confidence and ‘out of the box’ thought process. In all our endeavors, the focus is to strengthen competencies needed to be autonomous, lifelong learners. We make concerted efforts for a holistic development of the students who enter the school portals. A wide range of multi-dimensional activities are organized which go a long way in propelling a self-belief, confidence in decision making and problem solving along with chiseling of soft skills.

All our school activities are based on a participatory spirit that reduces the inhibition levels of the students and thus assists the students in becoming aware of their potential. The school atmosphere evokes a team spirit amongst the students and teachers with a conviction that ‘We can do it’. And we have shown it in our academic and non academic performances.

The Global Partnership Team of RPVV - Yes we work together

DSC04201.JPG

My students and I worked on a project called Culture of Marriage.  In the class, we tried to understand the marriage culture in Pakistan where they do Mehndi and wear flower bangles during the wedding.  So, our students did both things.  Girl sudents made Mehndi and boy students made flower bangles.  In the end of the class, they finished the work and we took picture together happily.  In the beginning of the class, I was so worried that my students couldn't even get it done.  But, it turned out to be a surprise.  They made it quickly and did it so well.  We cannot never limit our students' creativity and imagination.  I love my students so much and I am so happy being a teacher.

I love the way elanguages looks and all the tools available.  The children enjoy using it and enjoy browsing their work and their links and projects.  At the moment we are using wallwishers.  They make the page really fun and dynamic and are very quick to post on.

I thought it would be fun to put one here so that we can say hello in our different languages to illustrate the point.
