The other side of my town

Marhanets is a small but beautiful town in the southeast of Ukraine.Marhanets is situated in Dnipropetrovsk's region near the Kakhovsky reservoir. About 47 thousand of people live in Marhanets. Marhanets is not very big, but it has a long and glorious history.Our town got its name thanks to deposits of marganese ore found in the region in 1886.There are 10 secondary schools, 2 boarding schools and 5 kindergartens in Marhanets. There is a sports school, a swimming pool, the Center of Out-of-School Activities. There are also some libraries, a stadium, a Palace of Culture, the cinema in our town.In the center of our town there is the Eternal Fire and the Fraternal Grave where the heroes of the World War II were buried.People take an active part in sport life of our town. We have our football team called "Shahtar".We love our town very much. We think that's the best town in the world. And that's why we decided to take part in this fascinating project. There are many places of interest in our town.Our town is beautiful (especially in spring and autumn). We can see lots of trees, bushes and flowers around our town. On these photos you can see our nature in autumn. There are a lot of parks, gardens and squares all around our town. We can spend our weekends outdoors. We like to gather mushrooms and berries, we like to have picnics with our friends and also we like to pick beautiful autumn flowers and leaves. There are many small rivers around our town. We can go fishing and we can swim in these rivers in summer.
