Summary

Dear friends, We, the members of the Go Green Club of Birla High School for Boys (Jr. Section), work towards creating awareness amongst our little Nature Warriors. Our club has a mixed group of 8 to 10 year olds. Through various activiteies and resource materials we try to sensitize them towards the problems our planet is facing and how we can join hands and work towards a HEALTHIER, GREENER and CLEANER tomorrow. we would be glad if we should share our work with schools from around the world and learn from each other.... After all we are citizens of one Earth and we must join hands and work together to save it.. Warm regards, Deepak

Nature walk

Each year we take our young nature enthusiasts for Nature Walks to various parks where they can get a first- hand experience of nature and its elements. In these picture you can see them at Victoria Square, where they studied the adaptive features of aquatic plants, collected seeds and pods that had just exploded, learnt to identify various bugs and other insects. such excursions enhance their curiocity and help in strengthen their bond with and understanding of nature.

Beat The Heat

Our Go Green Club decided to beat the heat the natural way. Our members enthusiastically participated in making a cool and refreshing herbal drink: "MInty Lemonade".

Rescue operation

Our Go Green Team found a new born baby sparrow who was deserted by its mother. Our little nature enthusiasts instantly set to work. They not only rescued it from a precarious position but also took it home, nurtured it and set it free when it was fit to fly.

Mission Recycling...

This month we are trying to instil the habit of recycling waste products and turning them into something useful into our pupils.

This year on Friendships Day, pupils of our school made a new friend, Sheru, the mascot for Kids For Tigers. They tied friendship bands on his wrist. Along with befriending Sheru, they also pledged to try to save tigers, our national animal. We hope this simple activity must have instilled the desire to save the tigers of India in the minds of our little nature warriors.
