Everyday life_

Summary

My proposal is to compare everyday life in the UK with that in other countries. We would begin by looking at school life and the children could exchange powerpoint presentations about their everyday school routines. This could them be extended to include life outside school, hobbies and interests. The children could also post information and examples of things which interest them to each other.

Getting to know each other.

The children send letters to each other describing themselves and their interests inside and out of school.

Comparing school life

The children exchange powerpont presentations about their schools, including any pictures they take.

Life outside school.

The children choose a way to tell the partner school about their life outside school. For example, a timetable of the different activities they take part in. They then choose one of the things they are interested in and describe it in more detail.

Special occassions

The children explain different festivals which they take part in during the year, for example Christmas, Easter, harvest. They will then be able to compare these to festivals celebrated by children in another country.
