Skills for Employability seeks to raise the profile and quality of vocational education and training in Central and Southern Asia by improving the links between education and employers, and equipping young people with the skills needed for work in the global economy. The project will involve governments, government agencies, training institutions, employers, trainers and vocational trainees in the UK, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kazakstan and Iran. It is managed by the British Council and scheduled to last from July 2007 to March 2011.
