It is a program launched for primary school students. It is a mobile, interactive and hands-on education program that teaches students the specific skills of sorting waste in the home and school environment as well as the principles of reducing, reusing, recycling and composting. The students will have fun while learning the benefits, the ‘how-to’, and basic problem prevention in the important area of waste management.

Job Title: Environment Guide Officer Main purpose of the job: Help other students to reduce the amount of rubbish they generate and send to land-fill Scope of the job: Get students interested and involved in cutting down on all sorts of waste and in reducing their effect on the environment. Main responsibilities: • Learn about waste issues: where it comes from, where it goes, why it matters and what can be done to improve the situation. • Pass this information on to students at school and other adults in various situations. For example, one-to-one with neighbors, at meetings of clubs and societies, and at events the waste watcher group set up for this purpose • Get students and their families excited about reducing their waste. • Organize events and opportunities to carry out this work • Find out what would make it easier for students at their school to change their habits. Try to provide this support, for example involving them in competitions such making posters, one free waste day. • Work with other schools in organizing events to show people that reducing waste is a joined effort.
