Summary

Asia Calling is a weekly current affairs program produced in Jakarta by Indonesia’s only independent radio network KBR68H. It broadcast in both English and Bahasa across Indonesia and a number of countries in Asia including, Australia, Timor Leste, The Philippines, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Asia Calling works with a network of experienced correspondents across Asia, providing in-depth stories about the people and issues affecting our region. Our radio education program aims to provide teachers and students with an alternative and interesting learning experience. With audio from native English speakers students can develop important listening skills as well as well as learning more about the diverse region that we live in. The education package includes, CD recordings of the program, written copies of the program and a list of questions and answers, which teachers can use as a guide for discussions or to be distributed directly to the students.
