Phil the Bag

Phil the Bag is a textile recycling initiative to promote awareness of textile recycling in schools and communities. We asked all our children to fill up a Phil the Bag sack with all their unwanted clothes and shoes. We used Mrs Baker and Mrs Warren's middle area to store all the bags brought by the children 2 weeks before the collection, mountains of it! On the D day, Martyn, the company driver had to weigh each bag to work out how many kilograms of clothes there were. Thanks to everybody's hard work we managed to recycle 418.6 kg of old clothes! The money earned will be used indeveloping other environmental projects in the school. We have already booked another textile collection for next Spring, so keep your old winter clothes!!!
