This is a fantastic opportunity to share many ideas about growing plants and specifically vegetables, consider sustainability issues, farming rights, climate change and have fun comparing and considering the growth of plants and vegetables in different climates and conditions! Students can discuss topics in depth and compare data on growth or rainfall, humidity, pollution etc. depending on the age of the students involved. There is something for everyone in this project as it is wide ranging! Students can simply take photos of plants that they are growing, submit drawings of plants they are growing, discuss and compare environments, consider optimal conditions for growth or develop a debate about intensive farming vs. organic. ENJOY!
