Introductions and getting to know each other
16 years ago
Welcome to Ruben from Argentina. Do check his hello page and get in touch if you are teaching Spanish. Also to Nani from Indonesia, it is really exciting to have interest from distant countries. Which languages do you teach? Let's try and get some resources uploaded to share as quickly as we can so that our project is interesting and useful. Judy.

Hello Pages
I was thinking how good it would be if we all made interesting hello pages which showed our schools and gave a bit of background information. Visiting the other schools interested in the project would be a lovely way of introducing the children to the idea of participating in an international project.

School timetables
Hello everyone, and welcome Nani to the project. If any of you are teaching Spanish, please let me know so that my students can prepare some material in Spanish to upload. Also, if we are all teaching English, I would like to know how the system to become an teacher of English is in your countries and about the resources teachers generally use in their English classes. To become an EFL teacher in Argentina you have to study 4 to 5 years either at tertiary level (Teacher training colleges) or at university. In this latter case, you get the degree of "Profesor en Lengua y Literatura inglesas" (Teacher of English Language and Literature). Let me tell you I am really happy to share this project with you and your students. Thanks Judy for your support. Ruben, from Argentina.

How we use the timetables
I was just thinking how to share timetables with classes and to be able to discuss how school might be in another country. Using Ruben's timetable I wrote some simple questions for my primary pupils. Any other ideas? What can you tell from this timetable? Which days of the week do they go to school? same/different What time of day? same/different How long are lessons? same/different What subjects do they study? same/different What subjects that we study aren’t on their timetable? How many lessons do they have in one day? same/different What time does school end?same/different How long is the school day?same/different Do you have any questions for Ruben or his class?

A project for teachers of English world wide to share how they teach and learn English
16 years ago
If any of you would be interested in forming a new project to compare how you teach English and share resources, maybe you would like to start a discussion here and then other people who join the project will be able to join the discussion as well. Judy.

A project for primary teachers worldwide who teach French

I would be very interested to start a project with teachers from other countries who teach French to primary aged pupils. Does this apply to anyone in the group?

Lesson plan and powerpoint
Ruben Mazzei
Hello everyone from Argentina. I read the lesson plan on question words prepared by Namita and I like the idea of knowing what and how we are teaching almost the same topics to students of the same age. I will send mine soon! The powerpoint presentations with the stories and the body parts are fantastic. Good job! I will share them with my students and they will like them. Best, Ruben
