Hello Cornwall!

Say 'hello' to the teachers from Cornwall. Let them know about yourself, your school, the type of partner school you're looking for and the type of project you’d like to work on.

Possible projects with classes from Cornwall
16 years ago
Dear colleagues my name is Mareile Karoline Verhoeven and I am a teacher of English, German and Geography (bilingual) at Wittekind in Luebbecke, Germany http://www.wittekind.de I have got some experiences with and I am very fond of working with other classes in our target language English on an international basis. Right now I have got a very enthusiastic grade 5 and a grade 9 in English. Whereas my young students would like and be able to socialize on a very basic level, my older students would be able to discuss topics on higher levels. Geography topics related to Europe would be fantastic (Key stage 3, similar issues). If you are interested to work with a German class in German, please let me know. We love to encourage students to speak and write German. In case of interest, do not hesitate and contact me. Best wishes Mareile Karoline

Hello teachers! I'm Roger philippon from Vendée in France; our coastal region is located in the West, south of Brittany. I teach English in a French "college" in the city of La Roche-sur-yon. Therefore our pupils are teenagers from 11 to 15. I would be interested in organizing an exchange of E-mails or documents on a regular basis between my pupils in 4th form (13-14 year-old) and teenagers from a British school. Topics could be varied and left to their likings, just as pen-friends would do. My class is quite good at English and they're nice kids. They're all willing to communicate only in English. So the project needs not exclusively concern French classes in Britain. If you think such a project could be interesting for your school or your classes, I would be delighted to work something out with you. Thanks for reading me and I hope to hear from you soon. I am very interested to participate in the project, especially with a partner-school from the UK. Presently I am teaching social pedagogical assistants (SPA) in the nice city of Flensburg, directly located at the Danish border. The Hannah Arendt school there has appr. 2500 students beween 15 and 45 years look: http://has-fl.de/ The majority of the students is under 20. You may see the school or parts of it as a college, too. The SPA want to study later and/or to work in a Kindergarten. I am open for any suggestion from the UK for an elearning-project. I myself have been several times to the UK and like it very much. Please give my email to all teachers on the congress who may be interested in a cooperation with Northern Germany. Hello Cornwall, My name is André Dick and I will briefly describe my school and my project to you: Anne Frank Gymnasium is a mixed secondary school of approximately 700 pupils. It is situated in the suburbs of Aachen, the most westerly city in Germany, close to the borders with Holland and Belgium. We wish to establish contacts, via email, with schools in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, with the eventual aim of organising exchange visits. We should like to initially run a project to develop mutual understanding and links between pupils. Our school has benefitted from our contacts with established partner schools in Belgium, France and Romania and we wish to widen our experience. For the first time we try to perform the fabulous story of Robin Hood. Therefore we do scriptwriting and performance trying to adapt some comical aspects from the famous movie "Men in tights". We are interested in any kind of contact or help concerning our drama group. We are also willing to perform at your school if you want to? Or your drama group wants to give a performance at our school? No Problem - Our doors are open! Contact Andre by clicking the 'send me a message' link on his Hello page

Spanish school is looking for a British partner
16 years ago
Dear teachers, My name is Angel Sepúlveda, and I´m the head of studies of a nice and small secondary school in Oropesa, in the middle of Spain, near Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Caceres and Madrid. Our school is a very familiar one, with 450 students and more than 60 teachers. This year we are one of the very first school in Castilla La Mancha, and I think that in Spain, to have a double bilingual programme, so our students attend classes in Spanish, French and English. We are looking for a British school in order to create a long term relationship so our students can exchange letters, email, do cooperative and coolaborative projects and every two years doing a students exchange. ( We are open to other possibilities too.) If you are interested have a look at our page here in eLanguages http://www.elanguages.org/view_profile.php?accountid=8327 or visit http://edu.jccm.es/ies/alonsodeorozco/

Hello, my name is Catherine Dos Santos and I work in a secondary school called Roger Contrepas, in the South of France. Our pupils are 10 to 16 years old. Our school is deeply involved in European projects and we would like to reinforce links with school located in Great Britain. We can either work with secondary or primary schools as our teachers of English as a foreign language work both in Roger Contrepas and in the nextdoor primary school with pupils aged 8 to 16. We would like to start with a 1 to 2 months project dealing either with environment and or our region - for kids aged 8 to 12- or addictions and young people with 14-16 years old pupils. However, we are open to any other suggestions. Please feel free to contact us. Regards Catherine Dos Santos Contact Catherine by clicking the 'send me a message' link on her Hello page

Hello! Let me introduce myself
Hello! I am Ksenija Vidmar-Nincevic, a primary school teacher from Zadar, Croatia. I've been teaching English in a big primary school (1014 students) with students aged 10-14. In Croatia children attend school at the age of 7. They start learning English as a foreign, but obligatory subject from the first grade. The second, optional language can be chosen from the age og 10 (Italian or German). Zadar is a coastal beauty placed in the mid Adriatic coast. I have realised there is 'something unique' in living in coastal areas of the globe. My project"Coastal towns and its uniqueness" aims to demonstrate some specific prospectives that we can share together- me, from Croatia- you- from another country and your coastal town-Cornwall. Yours Ksenija, Zadar, Croatia
