Dear Patrick

I see that you have been involved in a project with a school in Eastbourne in the UK.  I have sent a message to Marie through the discussion site about this.

I visited Benin in October 2011 as part of a Global Schools Partnership Project.  We were based in Porto Novo.  My visit has led to us including Benin in some teaching - on Basket weaving, on the Songhai agricultural project, and on the Slave route.  I have also been able to talk about this work at public meetings in my region (Green party Development seminar; Leeds Development Centre meeting; Geographical Association meeting in Yorkshire) and in training Polish teachers in sustainability in Warsaw, Poland, in February this year; and I am due to include it in a session on sustainability in education in London in July.

As a school we do work in The Gambia also, and work with a school in a rural area there.

I am interested in extending our West African links so thought that I would make contact.  Although I have written in English my French is good so please feel free to respond in French.
