Castleton Primary School

We have been learning about Diwali at school and this project has helped us to understand even more about the festival and the celebrations.

We had been learning about Diwali at school for two days, and then we visited your project and looked at your PowerPoints.

It was lovely to see pictures of so many of the things we had been learning about.  We were also interested to read about Diwali in your PowerPoints.

Thank you very much for making this project.

These are some of the comments that the class wrote down to add to the project.

We found your photographs, drawings and PowerPoints really interesting.

We liked the Rangoli patterns, and loved the colours in your celebrations and your clothes.  We also thought the fireworks looked amazing.

We were surprised to see how many lights there were and  also that the celebrations went on for 5 days.

We have enjoyed learning about Diwali at school.  We liked the story of Rama and Sita.

We were interested to see all the decorations and the food.

We had learned at school that there is one God, Brahman, and that he has many different aspects to him.  We would be very interested to know more about the stories of the Gods.
