The Date Tests:
Date Tests tells the story of a demanding couple (in our case a mum and sister) who put a young boy (Iggy) through a series of tests to ensure that he is good enough to take out their daughter/ sister, Brandi. This was the pupil’s first time of performing in front of a live audience so they wanted a piece that gave them lots of opportunity to be both physical and vocal in the performance space.
Legend:
Hannah Dodd wrote this piece herself. She based the piece on her reading of Anne Frank’s diary. Anne never wrote the final entry to her diary, but Hannah believed that if she had of done, this is what it would have said. Hannah has tried to capture the feeling and emotion behind the piece through the silent bodies on stage with her.
