Have a look at a website Princes Trust Rainforest it's fab. Loads of ideas there's a Key Stage 1 and 2 section. Only found it a month ago wish I had found it earlier.
We've also adopted an orangutan for the class from doing a sponsored spell. The kids love it. The website is the Orangutan Foundation. Have a look.

I have just joined the project and after reading your comment I had a
look at the Princes Trust Rainforest website and it is really
fantastic. Thank you very much for the indication! I`ll follow your
next tip and look at the Orangutan foundation.
