I think its time for Peace Education/Conflict Resolution to be incorporated into Schools. The purpose would be to create global citizens; to create an equal society; to create an environment where all can share and express their opinion freely. .

In this strife-torn world, Peace should be an important dimension of Education. It should be incorporated into mainstream teaching all over the world.

In India, Peace Education in Schools is not yet evolved and I don’t think the Policy makers’ thoughts are in this direction. There are student clubs in some schools (not all – its voluntary) that take part in rallies on Peace sponsored by Social Activists who are motivated more by political ideologies rather than the interests of the society at large
