First RE week 5-9 October 2009
Oak and Beech classes

Year 1 and 2 activities on Hinduism- Our little ones had lots of fun during our Hindu week.
The children were involved in a range of activities which helped develop their understanding of the Hindu culture.
If you entered Oak and Beech classrooms you were literally stepping into another world, watching children in the role play area, re-enacting Hindu stories they had listened to or playing in the class little shrine.
Well done to all the teachers, Miss Sakka, Mrs Evans and Miss Cornhill, whom have made this week a very special and long lasting experience for the children to remember.
Hinduism celebrated in year 1-2
The children were busy learning about different Hindu festivals. They had a very creative week, making Diwali lamps, peppermint sweets rangoli patterns and Diwali cards. They also read stories and acted them out using masks that they had made themselves.
