In the UK, using Fairtrade products is becoming more and more important. What is is like in other countries? Is Fairtrade taught in schools? Do you have Fairtrade farmers near to you?

We are going to have a quiz, staff room Big Swap, assemblies, Fairtrade cookies made in Food Technology, have asked a Traidcraft Speaker to talk to Year 7 about Fairtrade and lots of other things. What are you doing during Fairtrade Fortnight? I would love to know what other schools are planning.

Dear Catherine in our area fair trade crops are grown as it is a rural area. We have the privilege to watch the farmers' life very closely and really this time when the crops are growing, it is a wonderful scenery for us to behold.

Hi Namita, I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful things you have put on the page. I have been quite busy recently after Christmas so have only just had chance to look. Thank you so much! It would be great if some of my pupils could maybe put some questions on here about Fairtrade. Would that be possible?

Hi we are lucky to have video conferencing equipment and my Yr 5 and 6 class will be taking part in a video link through Global Leap on 24th February. We will also be refering to Fairtrade in our Whole School Assemblies.

Sorry Catherine did not take any photos of the session but it was really interesting and my children took lots of notes in their learning logs. I will try and scan an example and upload. We also did a whole day of Fairtrade cooking! now I do have a couple of photos of that. I will see what I can do.
