We sat on a beach to write a poem inspired by what we could see and hear. Here is some of the work done by year 6.

How We Use Rivers and the Human Impact On Them.

Rivers are used differently around the world; for transport, cleaning, leisure. How are rivers used in your area/country? What effect does this human activity on the river? Does it cause pollution? What is the impact on the river as a habitat/ecosystem?

Rivers and Natural Disasters

Rivers are very useful to us, however they can cause huge damage and destruction. You could include some facts about damage caused by rivers in your country.

hello everybody thank you Tristan for coming up with such a beautiful project which sa not only made studying geography interesting for children but has also given them an opportunity to learn about rivers in their own country and across the globe. In addition it wonderfully connected English, Creative writing and Art. I exploited all the aspects of the project and the results were amazing. Some part of the outcome is being reflected on elanguages. Hope other users would find it interesting. There is much more to come. Thanks and regards Yogesh Singla Cordinator International exchange DPS Panipat Refinery Haryana INDIA

Hi Cristina, The project work your students have submitted is fantastic. Thank you to you and them for your enthusiasm! For information today there’s been another presentation about the Danube added to the project from The Kyiv P Tychyna Gymnasia 191, in the Ukraine. Also, you might be interested in Tristan’s new project called Animal Adventures - an international, cross curricular animal project. It looks like it would be a lot of fun for your students. http://www.elanguages.org/49412 Best wishes Chris
