How do you celebrate Christmas?

Summary

Over November and December 2008 we would like to share and receive information about how Christmas and New Year are celebrated in different French and Spanish speaking countries, looking at traditional food and sharing recipes, songs, decorations and other customs. We would like to try out your ideas in school and will post evidence of our creations. We would like to converse in English, French and Spanish.

I 've read about your project and I really like it. So, I would like to contribute it with info about our traditional Christmas celebration. Our- from Croatia, my homeland. My hometown is Zadar, always with fresh new ideas of how to celebrate this most important event for all the Christians. Yours Ksenija Vidmar-Nincevic, Zadar, Croatia

Thanks for your presentation Ksenija. It's really interesting how some customs are so similar and others are so different, such as growing wheat. Do you have any recipes for the traditional foods / cakes that you could add? Claire

Hello! The whole idea is to find that- after all- we are more similar than different, I believe. YES, I have a lot of recipes to add!!! I've thought of that this week and I'm sending them next week! All my best! Ksenija
